This is my lover, first real relationship, & bestfriend that I wanna spend the rest of my life with. We are dysfunctional & even we don’t know how we work. But he really is my soulmate, I’ve never met someone that I get so angry at but yet crave to be with him everyday. He drives me crazy and we fight with such intensity, but I won’t deny I’m crazy about him. We’re not perfect, not even anywhere close. But his imperfections make him perfect to me because he’s flawed like me and loves me despite how much I hate myself at times. We’ve been through hell and back these past 8 months, starting with distance when he went to the mainland to work to doing distance again during my first semester of college. But the months inbetween of pretty much living with him, getting taken in by his family, & growing attached to him really tested our strength as a couple. Now that we’ve overcome our struggles and are working together to be better for eachother, with eachother I am willing to go the distance for him because he’s worth everything to me. Everyone says were too young & given good reasons don’t really support us being together. But I can’t describe how much love I have for him & even in a screwed up generation of heartbreak and broken promises…I will forever be a hopeless romantic. I want to punch him in the face sometimes but then kiss his stupid face that I can’t ever stay mad at…Love isn’t just black and white, there are many shades of gray that test your patience and faith. It’s completely ridiculous and doesn’t even make sense to me most of the time because its so complicated & stresses me out to the max. But the heart wants what it wants, & if you follow it, there is always beauty in the breakdown. I’ve followed my heart & there’s no regrets in this. Moving forward, letting go of the past. Taking exciting steps for our future.
